Since gum disease in adults is the leading cause of tooth loss, routine cleanings and exams with good patient care in between visits will help prevent any major tooth problems.  At Clearwater Family & Sedation Dentistry, our goal is to help our patients feel comfortable at your visit.  Our hygienists take the time necessary to educate without making our patients feel bad about their oral health.

What to expect at your first visit

At Clearwater Family & Sedation Dentistry, whether you are a new patient, or a patient of record, at your visit with us, you'll receive diagnostic and preventive services from your hygienist and dental team.  That may include:

  • Updating and collecting all medical history information
  • Oral cancer screening
  • Evaluation of gum tissue
  • Checking biting, chewing and swallowing patterns
  • Appropriate x-rays of teeth to determine cavities or decay
  • Removal of plaque and tartar
  • Fluoride application
  • Sealants (for children)
  • Polishing teeth
  • Adjusting and cleaning of any removable dentures
  • Any educational instructions patients might need

"The care that I was shown was so refreshing"

"My experience at Clearwater Family & Sedation Dentistry was a relief. I can’t say how many times I’ve gone to a dentist appointment and left confused, with no desire to go back. That was not my experience here. Everyone was very friendly and took the time to answer my questions, all of my questions. I would recommend this place to my friends and family, and total strangers."   ~ Judy M.
